Reservations
- Reservations are required. Same day reservations may be accepted.
- Reservations must include the number of guests that you are booking for. If you show up with additional guests you may be turned away and lose your reservation payment.
Campground Hours (Check in, Check out and Quiet Hours):
- Campground check-in ends at 8pm. Staff available until 8pm.
- Check in hours are 4pm and 8pm for all Cabins, Tree Tents and Cabin Tents
- Check in hours are 3pm and 8pm for campsites (you bring your own tent)
- Check out time is by 11am.
- There are no check-ins after 8pm. Please make other arrangements for the night if you get delayed. There are no refunds if you miss the check-in time.
- Quiet Hours are from 10pm – 7am daily. Showers and Public Pavilion are closed during quiet hours.
- Loud amplified music is prohibited.
Alcohol, Drug and Smoking Policy
Camp Earth Connection is an alcohol, drug and smoke free campground. Alcoholic beverages, drugs and smoking are not permitted on the premises or in the cabins. We are committed to providing a safe and serene environment to all our guests and hope that you will find peace and comfort in the beauty of the natural surroundings. Guests who behave inappropriately and/or are intoxicated or under the influence of drugs will have to leave without a refund.
Smokers may choose to take a walk down the seasonal road, a short distance from the facilities to smoke. We ask that you be conscientious of others enjoying the forest and please keep your cigarette butts with you to dispose of them properly. They are not compostable.
Pet (Dog) Policy:
- Pets typically include dogs only.
- All pets must be approved. Pets are only allowed in designated cabins and campsites. Number of pets is limited to 1 or 2 depending on the cabin.
- Pet fees (specific to each site) per pet are payable at time of booking or upon arrival if pre-arranged.
- A copy of your pet’s current Rabies vaccination is required. Pets must be on a leash (no longer then 10 feet) at all times.
- Pets at campground may NOT be left in cabins or at campsites unattended.
- Pets must be housebroken and should not be on the furniture (unless owner brings covers and their own linens and blankets.
- It is the owner’s responsibility to clean up after their pet.
- Pets must be safe with people and other dogs.
- Pets should not bark incessantly.
- Owner is responsible for any damages the pet may cause.
Campfires and Firewood:
- Campfires are allowed in designated areas, but must be small and within the fire ring. Bonfires are NOT allowed. Fire rings can NOT be moved.
- Please note that it is illegal to transport firewood in NYS to more than 50 miles due to the spread of pests and diseases which can be detrimental to the forest.
- We do sell split firewood at the campground that is from our local forest for your convenience. We also sell a Firestarter/kindling bundle.
- Camp Earth Connection reserves the right to ban campfires if there are weather concerns.
Wildlife and Plants:
- Wildlife must not be disturbed or handled. Report any wildlife acting strangely
- Do not pick, cut or damage trees or plants. Only dead (un-cut) ground wood may be collected for firewood.
- Injuring wildlife or damaging trees or plants can be grounds to require you to leave the campground.
Parking:
- All vehicles must be parked in designated parking area. Wagons are provided as needed to mover your gear to your site. Visitors who are not guests are asked to park in Public Parking Trailhead parking area on Hammond Hill Rd. (About ¼ mile walk from the campground.) We can NOT accommodate RVs.
Garbage, Recycling and Composting:
- Recycling and composting of food waste is required. Recycling and composting information and bins are provided.
- There will be a service charge of 25 dollars for garbage that is left unsorted (for recycling) and with food waste in it.
Safe and Welcoming Space for all:
- We are a welcoming space for all who abide by our policies and are looking for a safe space to connect in nature and with each other. We warmly welcome people from the LGBTQ+, BIPOC and Recovery communities.
Phone & Computer charging:
- There are areas to charge your phone and computers near the camp shower house and guest pavilion. If you choose to leave your device unattended, Camp Earth Connection is not responsible for any damages to your device or if it’s stolen.
- Power packs and charging packs may be used in non-electric cabins, but they must be charged in your vehicle NOT at the charging station.
Visitors (friends and family of registered guests):
- All visitors must register upon their arrival.
- Visitors of registered guests need to park in public parking area at the top of Hammond Hill Rd. This is located less then ¼ mile from the campgrounds
- There is no fee for Visitors staying for a short time (less than 1 hour.) Visitors staying for an hour or longer are required to pay the visitor day rate of 5 dollars.
- Registered guests are required to review campground rules and policies with their visitors.
- Registered guests are responsible for the actions of any visitors they have.
- Visitors are NOT allowed to be at the campground during quiet hours (10pm – 7am)
- Visitors are NOT allowed to stay overnight, unless approved by CEC. An overnight fee will apply with approval. (5 dollars/night for tent camper, 10 dollars/night for cabin campers.
Generators are NOT allowed at the campground
Firearms and Fireworks are NOT allowed at the campground
Cancellation Policy
- For Short term rentals (1 month or less), if cancellations are made at least 2 weeks prior to the check-in date, a full-refund minus a $25 administrative fee will be given. If the cancellation is less than 2 weeks from the reservation date there is no refund.
- For Longer term rentals (Longer than 1 month), if cancellations are made at least 1 month prior to the reservation a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee be given. If cancellations are made less than 1 month prior to the reservation, there will not be a refund for the first month of rent, or in the case a deposit has been made, 1 months rent will be with held from the deposit before any refund.
