The Circle of Fire Campsite offers a quiet, private tent site with large fire circle in beautiful wooded forest in our lower camp near the camp wildlife pond. This is a great spot for experienced backpackers or campers. The site fits 1-2 tents and allows a max. of 4 people. 1-2 Dogs allowed ($25 pet fee/pet.) Extra person fee after 2 ($5/person/night.) 2-day min. stay. Weekend rate applies: $45/night.

Description

The Circle of Fire Campsite offers a quiet, private tent site with large fire circle in beautiful wooded forest in our lower camp near the camp wildlife pond. This is a great spot for experienced backpackers or campers who don’t mind carrying their gear (or using our wagon) to the mildly remote campsite, located 4-5 minutes from the main camp and parking area. There is a latrine and water spigot near the campsite. Campers have access to all campground amenities which include: hot showers, potable water, and a community pavilion. The pavilion has a phone and computer charging work station, coffee and tea station, and ping pong table. Explore the hiking and mountain biking trails conveniently located in the adjacent state forest. Plan to visit the beautiful gorges and waterfalls of Ithaca, NY, just 12 miles away. Pets (1-2 dogs) are allowed with approval. Please read Pet Policy.

We are an alcohol and drug free facility. Alcohol and drugs are prohibited on the premises, to help ensure that a this is a peaceful and safe environment, allowing folks to find peace and serenity in this natural environment. Smoking is also NOT allowed on the premises, although those who smoke may take a short walk off the premises to smoke responsibly. We support those who are in recovery from addiction and alcoholism via our safe environment.

This community is committed to preserving the natural surroundings and natural resources. Composting and recycling are incorporated into our daily routine. We understand the importance of reducing the amount of resources we use, and re-using and re-generating whenever possible. We ask that our guests join us on our mission to be good stewards of our planet. We do require that our guests recycle appropriate materials and put food waste in our composting stations.
