The Writer’s Rustic Retreat Cabin, is nestled in the forest, and offers campers a private space to be immersed in nature. Large picture windows provide wildlife and forest viewing. This cabin includes a lantern, a single bed, and a desk. An extra cot can be set up for a 2nd guest. The Writer’s Retreat Cabin is a bit more private and rustic than the other cabins at Camp Earth Connection. We believe it will be loved by those who enjoy being in the forest and experiencing a feeling of living in the wilderness. There is a water spigot, latrine, and fire-pit with a grill for cooking and campfires. The showers and parking area are a 3-4 min. walk from the cabin. Explore the hiking & mountain biking trails in the adjacent state forest. The camp is conveniently located just 12 miles from Ithaca. The cabin is currently being renovated.  Watch for new photos in May! We offer weekly and monthly discounts for this cabin.

We are a alcohol and drug free facility. Alcohol and drugs are prohibited on the premises, to help ensure that a this is a peaceful and safe environment, allowing folks to find peace and serenity in this natural environment. Smoking is also NOT allowed on the premises, although those who smoke may take a short walk off the premises to do so. We are support those who are in recovery from addiction and alcoholism via our safe environment.

We understand the importance of reducing the amount of resources we use, and re-using and re-generating whenever possible. We ask that our guests join us on our mission to be good stewards of our planet. We do require that our guests recycle appropriate materials and put food waste in our composting stations.
