The Bear Cave is a large forest campsite with a picnic table, fire pit and large grill and space for 1 or 2 tents. It is a short 4-5 minute walk to the parking area and main camp. Allows max. of 4 people and 1-2 tents. 1-2 Dogs allowed ($25 pet fee/pet.) Extra person fee after 2 ($5/person/night.) 2-day min. stay. Weekend rate applies: $45/night.

Description

The Bear Cave is a large forest campsite with a picnic table, fire pit and large grill and space for 1 or 2 tents. It is a short 4-5 minute walk to the parking area and main camp. The site is adjacent to a stream with a latrine and water spigot close to the site. This is also great site for tree tents (available to rent.). This site can have a maximum of 4 people with two-2 person tents or one larger tent. that surrounds this place to stay. It is located adjacent to a state forest with 20 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. It is conveniently located just 12 miles from Ithaca, NY, home of beautiful gorges and waterfalls.Pets (1-2 dogs) are allowed with approval. Please read Pet Policy.

Alcohol and drugs are prohibited on the premises, to help ensure that a this is a peaceful and safe environment, allowing folks to find peace and serenity in this natural environment. Smoking is also NOT allowed on the premises, although those who smoke may take a short walk off the premises to smoke responsibly. We support those who are in recovery from addiction and alcoholism via our safe environment.

We understand the importance of reducing the amount of resources we use, and re-using and re-generating whenever possible. We ask that our guests join us on our mission to be good stewards of our planet. We do require that our guests recycle appropriate materials and put food waste in our composting stations.
