April 2024
- Total Eclipse Viewing (Campfire Gathering): April 8th, Arrive at 1pm at Parking Area on Hammond Hill Rd. Eclipse begins around 2pm. Please email: campearthconnection@gmail.com if you would like to join us.
- A Walk in the Woods: April 15-17th, A 3-Day Backpacking Trip w/Eshay on the Finger Lakes Trail. Email Eshay, for more information and to register, email Eshay at campearthconnection@gmail.com
- Earth Day Celebration, 5:30-7:30pm. Monday, April 22nd. Free guided Tree and Bird Walk at Camp Earth Connection and on the trails of Hammond Hill State Forest. Email Eshay, campearthconnection@gmail.com

- Eshay’s Vacation, Sept. 2nd- Sept. 6th – Camp is closed except for long-term guests.

- Indigenous Peoples Day Monday, October 9th, 2023. Camp Earth Connection would like to honor and recognize all the native peoples of this land who still live here and who’s lives and land were stolen from them. In particular in this region we recognize, the Haudenosaunee people(aka Iroquois as named by the white man) and the Gayogoho:no (Cayuga as named by the white man.)
- Indigenous Peoples Day Camping Weekend, Friday, October 11th – Monday, October 14th, 2024.
- October 27th, 2024 Camp Earth Connection Closes for the Season. See you next year.

2023 PAST PROGRAMS:
Winter Solstice Campfire Gathering and Forest Moon Cottage Open House, December 21, 2022, 4pm – 6pm
- Where: Park in Hammond Hill Rd public parking area (off of Irish Settlement Rd.) Do NOT take alternate route as they are seasonal roads not drivable.)
- When: Arrive by dusk if you want to be there when the fire is lit & we celebrate the solstice. Event is from 4-6pm
- What to bring: Mug for hot cocoa or tea, dogs must be on a leash & friendly, warm clothes, paper & pen (if you want to burn anything any wishes in the fire.)
- What you need to know:
- You will need to take your shoes off, if you want to walk around Forest Moon Cottage.
- All events are alcohol and drug free at Camp Earth Connection.
- Dogs must be on a leash and friendly with other dogs and people, no dogs in Forest Moon.
- Cost: Free, but please RSVP at campearthconnection@gmail.com

Eshay’s Writers Retreat, Friday, February 10 – Sunday, February 12, 2023, Friday, 1pm – Sunday, 1pm. More information coming shortly.
Camp Earth Connection includes a campground with both primitive and cabin camping facilities; adult programming, such as the Healing Hearts Retreats; and Children and Family Summer Programs. The camp is also rented out to individuals, families, and groups to host camping, special events and celebrations of all kinds.
Our Mission & Vision
At Camp Earth Connection we provide a safe space for all individuals, children and families. We design our programs to be inclusive and anti-biased and provide a diverse staff to meet the needs of a diverse community in an alcohol and drug free environment. We create communities that embrace and respect diversity.
Camp Earth Connection provides inspirational outdoor experiences which result in a greater appreciation for nature and a passion for learning more about the environment. Camp Earth Connection is all about You, Me and Us, and together we make community.
Location
Camp Earth Connection is nestled in the beautiful Hammond Hill State Forest in the town of Dryden, 12 miles East of Ithaca, New York. A 19-mile Trail System accessible from the camp is designed to offer recreation activities such as hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing.
